Terms and Conditions

English law shall govern these terms and conditions. Parties shall submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts of England & Wales. When attending a motorcycle  training course please remember the following:

Eyesight
Prior to the commencement of training you will be required to pass an eye sight test. If you wear glasses or contact lenses, please remember to have them with you. You must be able to read a car number plate at 67' or 20.5 metres.

Training Vehicles
A.J.S. Driver Training does not supply motorcycles for students attending training. Please bring with you your current full va
lid Driving licence, insurance certificate, a valid MoT certificate (if applicable), a valid vehicle excise licence (tax disc) and ensure the vehicle is road legal and mechanically sound i.e., it is your responsibility for ensuring that your vehicle is suitable and legal for use on the public roads.

Accidental Damage
Should you be unfortunate enough to damage property/equipment belonging to A.J.S. Driver Training through negligence on your behalf, you will be liable for the cost of repair/replacement of the damaged goods.

Clothing
A.J.S. Driver Training does not supply motorcycle clothing. Please wear suitable clothing, i.e., a motorcycle helmet, gloves, protective trousers, a protective jacket and motorcycle boots fit for purpose.

Payment
All balances are due one week before the first day of training by either cash or cheque made payable to A.J.S. Driver Training (a cheque guarantee card is required)

Course Timings
Please arrive in plenty of time to allow the course to start at the correct time. If you are later than the notified start time then the course will start without you.

Cancellations
Should you wish to cancel or change the date of your training course we require the following notice:

     All training courses - 12 working days notice.

If the above notice is not given a loss of course fee or a cancellation fee will be incurred (at the discretion of A.J.S. Driver Training). Please note that once any part of a course is started then no refund will be given. Where a course has been made up of a number of separate days once any part has been started then no refund will be given for the entirety of the days booked. This means if you have booked more than one session then once you have started the first session there is no refund for the following sessions. In the event that a course is cancelled in adequate time and a refund is due then a £15.00 administration fee will be charged. In the event that you are ill we require a doctor's certificate.

Safety
A.J.S. Driver Training will endeavour to make your training as safe and enjoyable as possible. However, there is always an element of risk in connection with the use of any motor vehicle, which cannot be totally eliminated. Your instructor can have no direct control over your vehicle and ultimately it is your responsibility to ride safely within the law. With this in mind you must comply with the following:

Ensure that you are, and remain, fit to train. Only you know your physical and mental condition.

You must not be over tired, injured, or suffering from any ailment, which could affect your riding.

You must not have taken any drugs, including alcohol, which may affect your ability to ride.

bullet

You must inform your instructor if there are any problems in this respect or if any occur during the day.

bullet

You must ensure that you have adequate breaks, drinks and food and that you are properly clothed.

  Only you will know if you are fit and well to continue.

Liability
In the unlikely event of an accident, A.J.S Driver Training have in place Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance in order to ensure that you have the best protection possible whilst training with us. Sight of these documents are available upon request.

Health & Safety
To ensure that A.J.S Driver Training provide the safest possible environment for you, all training complies with the Health & Safety at Work Act. Sight of which is available upon request.

All courses are booked on the basis of the information that you have given us, responsibility for ensuring that these details (including your licence entitlements) are correct  - this includes how much previous riding experience you claim to have. Not having read this notice does not exempt you from the consequences of cancellation fees etc.
