Aim
To deliver quality post-test motorcycle training.
i.e. training for riders who already hold a full motorcycle licence.
Why?
|
|
Worryingly, figures show that motorcyclists are by far the most vulnerable of all road users. |
|
|
Death and serious injury rate is 16 times higher on a motorcycle than a car. |
|
|
Bikers are 1˝ times more likely to be involved in a serious accident on a rural road. |
|
|
Inexperience and poor judgment is a big factor in many of these accidents. |
You have to ask, how many riders have taken further training since passing their initial D.S.A. test? Are you a born again biker, or somebody who is upgrading to a higher powered machine, or maybe someone who needs to develop their existing riding skills ?
A.J.S. Driver Training has the solution.

You now have an idea of our credibility, why bother with anyone else?
I am already a good rider. Why should I do further training?
It could save you time, money and your life.
9 people are killed in road accidents each day and 100 are seriously injured. Do you think any of them expected this to happen? Do you think accidents only happen to other people?
Your life and health are your most precious possessions.
Only 10% of licence holders are in the 17-21 age group, but they are involved in over 20% of all accidents.
Insurance companies can tell you that advanced riders have a low accident rate.

Advanced Training
"Advanced Driving is the ability to control the position and speed of the vehicle safely, systematically and smoothly, using road and traffic conditions to make reasonable progress unobtrusively, with skill and responsibility. This skill requires a positive but courteous attitude and a high standard of driving competence based on concentration, effective all round observation, anticipation and planning. This must be co-ordinated with good handling skills. The vehicle will always be in the right place on the road at the right time, travelling at the right speed with the correct gear engaged and can always be stopped safely in the distance that can be seen to be clear."
(Definition of Advanced Driving as agreed by the DSA, RoSPA & IAM)
Advanced riding is about reaching a standard of riding that is above that of the average motorist. It's the ability to make progress safely demonstrating excellent control skills, smoothness, enhanced observations, anticipation and planning that leaves a greater margin of safety for yourself and other road users. A good knowledge of the Highway Code is essential with the ability to demonstrate a high level of riding consistently, under all road conditions, in all weathers, in daytime and during the hours of darkness.
Advanced Riding brings a new enjoyment to motorcycling.
You can simply enhance your own riding skills or prepare for and then take your RoSPA advanced motorcycle test with us.
